Can’t wait for our neighbors upstairs to set up their doggy store! It should be in the next two months. Meanwhile, Stevie is one half dog, and the other half manic.

As we walked home after dinner last night, we came across Today’s Special on one of the eateries along Joo Chiat Place. HY and I felt that perhaps the guy didn’t know how to write the character for ‘feet’ in Chinese. Is there such a thing as chu1 shou3 even? Are pig hands Singapore’s newly-discovered cuisine?

We also have several new eyewear in store. They are surely cooler than the medley of pigs in this post. Cooler than sea cucumber; hotter than CUCUMBER.

I think the reason why they took the damn note out of circulation is because our first president looks bad on it. He looks like he had botox on the left side of his face and his eyelid drooped.

Two weeks ago, some asshole left a sick pigeon outside the store. The pigeon survived a whole day and night, so I brought it to the bird park in the morning. I don’t know if the vets there managed to save it; I was assured that the vets would try their best to rehabilitate it. If the bird was put down in the end, at least it would die amongst friends.

In return for my bird crusader efforts, I got a free tour of the bird park! Ok, that’s really because I was escorted by my friend Juanna who works there, not because I tried to save a bird. Here are some pictures. Not too shabby for an iPhone!

When I was small, I read about cassowaries being endangered in an encyclopedia entry. I asked my mum, if they are so endangered how come they're walking around in the bird park?

This morning was a morning awash with desire. Paperwork, money, ink, fabric. I ask, why am I boxed up in a box of one plus one equals two? Why can’t we fall in love with two? impregnated wickerwork;
on the wicker sofa
a dirty dog, quite comfy.

Some comic books provide

upon a big dim doily
draping a taboret
(part of the set), beside
a big hirsute begonia.

Why the extraneous plant?
Why the taboret?
Why, oh why, the doily?

Somebody embroidered the doily.
